This giant whale carcass washed up ashore in Kerala and it immediately sparked intrigue. Local fishermen were the first to spot it. The 50-foot-long whale was spotted on a beach in Kozhikode.

This whale has been stranded for a few days. Whales have such a thick fat layer, that the gasses just can't escape the corpse, and they start to build up pressure like a bomb, and can potentially be dangerous. So we just punctured it to let the gasses out.
