These are great for storage on their own, but when paired with another Dollar Tree find, the storage potential instantly multiplies. This clever hack involves placing a large rectangular plastic tray from Dollar Tree on top of a regular plastic locker bin, then stacking another plastic locker bin on top of that. 

You can include as many Dollar Tree storage bins and trays as you need. There are also so many different ways you can customize this storage hack to suit any area of your home too, which makes it as versatile as it is budget-friendly. One obvious drawback to the idea is that the items in the lower bins won’t be as accessible as those in the top bin. The locker bins have handles, though, which makes them relatively easy to move out of the way. 

Of course, there’s no need to modify this storage hack if you don’t feel the need. Plain white bins often work well in laundry rooms or closets, for instance. If you want to implement this idea in a child’s playroom for toy storage, though, you may want to add a little bit of color to the locker bins with some paint. Since plastic is smooth and getting paint to adhere to it for the long haul can be difficult, you need to make the surface a little rougher using sandpaper first. Then, spray on some plastic primer and let it dry completely. Finally, use acrylic paint to make the bins whatever color you like. There’s no need to limit the use of this Dollar Tree storage hack to just the inside of your home, though.
