Al Nassr is anticipating the upcoming season to be important as they are motivated to win as many trophies as possible. Cristiano Ronaldo was very upset at the end of the season after Al Nassr failed to win the Saudi Pro League, the King’s Cup, the Saudi Super Cup, and the AFC Champions League. The Saudi club wants to make it up to Ronaldo by preparing in the best way possible and building a great team for him. The preseason training is underway, and the team will have friendlies in Portugal. The club appointed Real Madrid legend Fernando Hierro to become the new sporting director of Al Nassr. He has a plan to bring Ronaldo and the rest of the team to Mexico to prepare for the upcoming season. As the new Al Nassr sporting director, Fernando Hierro intends to take Cristiano Ronaldo and the team to play a friendly match in Guadalajara, Mexico, against his former club, Chivas, in a match that will be historic for Mexican and Saudi football. Hierro left Chivas de Guadalajara, where he was a sporting director for the Mexican club in Liga MX.
Ronaldo is currently on vacation with his family after being eliminated by Portugal at the EUROS after losing 5-3 on penalties in the quarterfinals. The Portuguese striker failed to score a goal at the EUROS, which is the first time in his career that he has not scored in a major tournament.
Ronaldo is expected to play a few games of the reason to prepare for the upcoming season. It has been a long time playing football for CR7 this year, and he was given permission to relax as much as possible to avoid any serious injuries. Next season promises to be an exciting one for Ronaldo as it could be his last ever season in Saudi Arabia.
