YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING Polly the anxious goat is only calm when she wears her duck costume… and she also loves to dress as a pea pod, fox and giraffe

 

We've all got our GOAT-to outfit when we're just not feeling our best.

For a goat named Polly, it's a duck costume.

The rescue goat, who lives in New Jersey America, suffers from anxiety and loves to dress up in the child's outfit her owner Leanna Lauricella bought for her on Halloween.

As well as having anxiety issues, Polly has other serious health conditions including blindness and neurological problems.

But Leanna, who runs a goat rescue group called Goats of Anarchy was stunned when Polly's behaviour was noticeably calmer when she put the duck costume on.

"As soon as I put it on her, she just instantly got calm," Leanna told The Dodo.

Seeing Polly so soothed prompted Leanna to try and achieve the same effect with a T-shirt.

But it wasn't to be.

"I tried a ThunderShirt — it didn't work," said Leanna.

"There's something about that duck costume that calms her.

"She goes into a little trance.

"She calms down and goes to sleep.

"She just closes her eyes and she's out."
