A LUSTY lion looks to have made a roarfully good new friend as he tries to mate with another male.

Warehouse manager Russ Bridges, 42, was with wife Mandy at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster when he snapped the big cat ignoring a nearby lioness.

Russ, from Rotherham, joked: “I think it was a bit of a ‘you should have gone to Specsavers’ moment. A fair few people were laughing.”

Warehouse shift manager Russ, 42, said he'd snapped lions at the wildlife park before but it was the first time he'd seen them playing together.

Russ said: "I've never seen a shot of two males on top of one another with one sticking his tongue out before – it's like he's showing some pride in what he's doing."
