It's truly heartbreaking thinking of so many little Hippos in cages, waiting to be rescued and loved the way they deserve... but also, soooo heartwarming to see him happy with his new mom <3

She didn't find Hippo, Hippo found her. And who is to say that one day when you wake up that something so beautiful will make your life complete.

My mom tried to foster a dog when I was almost 16. Pomeranian that just didn't fit after abuse. Jake was my first service dog. 12yrs of it. We are a guaranteed foster fail family. I call my pit/rottie a house moose. He's huge. My 3rd pittie in 15yrs. My first passed in June with everyone around (well, animals and mom, the ones he wanted) after a tough battle with dementia. My pittie girl is 14 and her half chow chow side is still feisty. Aside from the first pittie, all rescues (shelter refused to let me adopt a pittie and I knew I needed one, so I found one anyway).
