I used to use those trimmers but the problem with them is they squeeze the nail and they crack it. They make a different type. It's like a guillotine that slides up and you put the toenail in a hole and you squeeze it and it doesn't squeeze the nail. You can probably find them at a pet shop somewhere. Try different type. You might have a different result
